  Radio Free World
So, the other day an email came to me - how, I don't know- but anyway, it was about this independent online radio station called Radio Indie Pop . The reason I visited it was because in the email it said that Album of the Month was the new B&S album "The Life Pursuit" so wehey, I thought, I am at work and I am bored, let's listen to some music. So I went there and I was sooooooooo happy to find out that they play ALL the music I really like....Well, most of it anyway....I am so happy to have discovered it especially 'cos there are no people talking and it's all music.

In other news, I did not manage to get Arctic Monkeys tix but oh well...I will keep on looking though, you never know :-) . I was reading the forum on their website and it is so disconcerting when young people talk about class. I think that what is holding Britain back is this whole notion of class. And people who label themselves- or are labeled - as working class have now come to embrace it rather than fight against classifications such as this one that essentially help society justify lack of education, lack of welfare, lack of proggress etc etc...People here don't go to see certain types of films or to the theatre or to concerts because they say they are working class! I mean WHAT THE FUCK? They are sneering at things that people have died for and fought for so newer generations can have them. And I got very upset the other day when some of my colleagues told me that it is not a given for people to stand up in public transportation for pregnant women and older people. MMM...nice...

Britain is such a great example of a new society in old Europe where people of different origins are converging but unless they get over the class thing they won't get far...This is a simplification (I do actually have an argument) but I am not in the mood to fully develop it now. Instead I will show you some photographs from Debby's birthday dinner and from the Chinese New Year's celebrations in Birmingham's Chinatown. It was on Sunday 29th of January, a very cold day. It is the Year of the Dog, year 4704 - if I am not mistaken. Oh and I am a Sheep I think...
